Mineralogists discovered tiger’s eye in western South Africa in the early 1800’s, Tiger’s eye stone history dates back thousands of years to when the golden-brown quartz was carved into amulets and talismans worn by ancient Roman soldiers to help them remain calm and courageous, stay focused and persevere. Today Tigers Eye Stones contrasting bands of colour and luster make for an attractive motif and it is mainly used for jewellery and ornamentation.
